April Wishlist

So today I thought I would do a quick post on what I'm eyeing up for April. Some of you may have seen a facebook post on my blog page where I talked about the perfection that was the Michael Kors Hamilton tote bag. Needless to say that it's at the top of my list! But we can't forget the very in demand and on trend court heels either can we?

Much Love,
Shannon.

March Favourites

Can you guys believe that we're coming towards the end of March? UNBELIEVABLE! Today, I thought that I would end the month with a quick round up of what I have bought and what I've been loving this month.

Fashion

So to begin. I bought these shoes last week from Born footwear on Eglinton Street, Galway. I walk past the shop every week on my way to the bus stop and I had seen them in the window. I finally went in to try them on and found out they were down to €29.95 from €35.95. I just had to do it. They're are made form a gorgeous velvet material with a rose gold gem detail on the toe strap. On trend and simply beautiful.

I had been searching for a smart collared dress for a while but was having no luck. They were all in the body-con style which doesn't really suit me. I finally found this beauty in River Island and fell in love with it. It retails at €45 but I was able to buy it for €40 during their 10% off student event. I wore it to the launch of the GTI Fashion Fiesta in Born Clothing last night!

Beauty

I did a quick review on the Simple and Rimmel products in the first image which can be viewed HERE. The Nivea primer is one of my best buys from the month of March. I bough it for €4 in Penneys and I'm pretty sure that it's the cause of my new clear skin. It acts as a protective and hydrating layer before applying makeup. I really couldn't recommend it more. Lastly, I bought a new bottle of Maybelline foundation and was less than impressed with the new packaging. I've always used this foundation and the product itself is fabulous. I just think that the new packaging makes it look a lot cheaper than what it is. What do you guys think?

Home

As some of you may know, I'm a sales assistant for Next menswear and home. I couldn't resist picking up this adorable photo frame and jar of artificial flowers for my room. Both items retail at €11 (unless you're entitled to a discount ;) !)

Beauty News and Reviews: Rimmel BB Cream & Simple Gel Facial Wash

Hi Guys! Yes I know I've been horrible with posts lately but I actually have a decent excuse. I currently have no laptop! Yes, I am a blogger, without a laptop. Much like a bird without it's wings. How sad!

Anyway. Happy St. Patricks day to you all! I thought I'd make an effort to do a quick post for the short time that I have access to a laptop. So to begin, I posted a picture on my instagram and facebook page of two new beauty products that I bought during the week. They were the Rimmel skin perfecting BB cream and the Simple facial gel wash. I heard amazing things about the two of them so I thought I'd give them a go.

Rimmel BB Cream: THIS IS MAGIC IN A TUBE! It is without a doubt the best facial makeup I have used, EVER! It is so light and so easy to apply. It's great for people who are constantly on the go and who don't like spending too much time doing there makeup. It doesn't clog up pores and gives your skin such a lift. I've been recommending it to everyone and even my mum has gone and bought two tubes of it! And guess what, It's down to €5.99!!!

Simple Facial Wash Gel: Again, this was recommended to me and has become a very regular participant in my evening skin routine. It is very light and non scented. I have very sensitive skin and I am prone to breaking out if I used products that are very scented or just have a load of useless ingredients in them. This facial wash is very pure and does exactly what it says on the tin. I'd recommend it any day! This retails at about €4.95 and is available in most Pharmacy's and supermarkets.

Who am I?

Bonjour mes amours! I hope you have all had a lovely week. Well mine has just been completely packed with all this fashion fiesta stuff. It's not all glitz and glam you know! So this I though I would begin this week with a bit more of a personal post. A sort of "get to know me" type of thing. I've met so many new people in the blogging world over the last year! Not to mention some new friends too.

So here are some questions that I looked up just to make all this an easy read. If any of you want to do it then please do! I'd love to get to know you all better.

What age are you?
I am 19 and turning 20 in September.

What do you do for a living?
I work in Retail, Next to be exact.

Do you have a middle name?
Yes, Sarah. Pretty standard, nothing too special really.

What was your favourite subject at school?
I'm going to say art because it was really the only subject I was okay at. I hated school!

What would you name your children?
For a girl, Emilia-Mae (Emmi) or Poppy and for a boy, Charlie or Jack.

Do you play any sports?
NO! Getting out of bed is a sport enough. I am probably the most unattractive runner that has ever set foot on earth!

What's your favourite holiday?
I'm going to say Christmas.

Biggest fear?
It use to be Santa when I thought he was real. I still get a bit skittish. The concept of a random man coming down the chimney just didn't sit right with me as a child. I cried every Christmas eve up until the age I was 10. But now, I hate the ocean. And heights.

What's your favourite movie?
Right now, I'm going to say Frozen. I've watched it like 5 times this month...

Most embarrassing story?
I refuse to talk about it.... EVER. Let's just say I haven't been back to Forever 21 since....

PC or MAC?
I don't own either so how am I to know. I'm going to say PC seeing that it's all I use.

Favourite restaurant?
Scotties Steakhouse in Galway. I use every occasion as an excuse to go there!

Are you an animal lover?
YES! Oh my god I adore animals. I use to want to be a vet until it turned out I was allergic to everything with fur. I use to rip open my teddies just so I could stitch them back up. Destructive much? I use to have a dog. I'd love another one. It's a project I'm working on with the parental's at the moment...

How would you have describe your social status in secondary school? (jock, nerd, popular, etc)
To be honest, I was a bit of a nobody. I just kept to myself really. I did have an amazing group of friends though which was all I really needed.

What's your dream job?
To work as a magazine editor. Or anything to do with a magazine.

There you have it kids! Why don't you guys try it out? I'd love to see what you put down.

Much Love,
Shannon.
