New Years Party Wear

So now that the Christmas prep is over, it's time to look forward to celebrating the New Year along with the little things in between. I think that boohoo is great for buying a quick last minute outfit and they have some beautiful pieces for this season. It's the same with missguided. Guess Who's One!?!?

Hello you lovely lot!!! Yes, you have guessed it. Today my blog turned one! I'm not going to lie, when I first started my blog on tumblr, I wasn't expecting it to turn into this. I wasn't even completely sure what a blog was!

So to begin, my blogging journey began exactly one year ago today. I was with my best friend and we were on YouTube (as usual) when I started talking about blogging. She's always been really good with computers in comparison to me who is more or less clueless and can just manage turning it on...... So she helped me figure it all out. Coming up with the name was a challenge to say the least. I wanted something that echoed my taste but without being too long. And then, The Edge of Glamour was born. I am a giant fan of Gaga's old work and after tweaking the title, we came up with this. I've always loved the glamorous life but I like to mix it up a bit as well. I love skulls, crosses, etc but I'm a pink and glitter lover too. And so it began....

So much has happened in the last year that I wouldn't have believed if someone had told me last September. I've styled shoots, been in a fashion show, had opportunities to go to blogger events and so on. I'm nearly at 500 likes on my Facebook page which I still find hard to believe. The fact that so many of you have willingly clicked that button to support me still phases me. You guys are my inspiration and you have made it possible for me to do all the amazing things that I have had the chance to do. There's so much more happening in the New Year. I'll be speaking at a fashion show about the importance of inner beauty and different body shapes. And I'm hoping to get my own YouTube channel up and running (I'm still teaching myself how to edit). I also have a few other things in the pot!

So lastly, I just want to say a gigantic thank you! I honestly cannot believe that you have all chosen to support me. I'm aiming for 2014 to be bigger and better. I'm also hoping to do more giveaways. You guys deserve everything in the world for your kindness and support. I'd also love to give a huge thank you to all the other bloggers out there for your continuous support and love. You guys inspire me everyday and give me with will to do better. I look up to so many of you and I am so lucky to have been able to share this experience with friends.  I love you all and here's to the next year!

Christmas Wish List

Only a few more sleeps until Christmas!!!! WEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Oh I am so excited. To be honest, I love the build up to Christmas much more than the actual day itself. I haven't asked for anything this year but my parents were ever so kind so offer some funds so that I can save to get the Marc Jacobs bag that I babble on about all the time. I go in 2-3 times a week to visit it and to sort of remind the sales assistants that I will NEVER leave until I walk out with the bag in my hands. Yes, it is rather sad but it brings me inner peace knowing that it's still there. 

MOVING ON! I'm a bits and pieces kind of girl. I'd rather receive a load of cheap little bits rather than one huge expensive gadget (unless I needed it of course). This year has been killer for bits and bobs. Here's what I would love in my stocking this year:

Outfit Post: Sparkle

Hello everyone! Yes I know I've been absent this month but I had a load of assignments to do but now they're all done! YEEEEOOOWWWW!!! I haven't really had the chance to start getting in the Christmas Spirit with work and college but I am holidays this weekend so why not now? I also kicked off the season of good will by giving away a €30 Penneys voucher that was won by the lovely Aoife Fitzgerald from Limerick. Congrats girly and happy shopping!

I went to the Twelve in Barna on last night for a Christmas meal with my best friend Jean and my other childhood friend, Jessica. We all went to the same primary school then Jean and I attended the same secondary school. I feel blessed that I can still say the bond between all of us is still just as strong. We then went back to Jean's to continue our annual tradition of watching the Grinch. It's a classic!

I was on boohoo.com two weeks ago and managed to bag this beauty for just €22.50 including P&P. They were having a 25% discount on everything for the day and I was in dire need of something sparkly!! Here's what I wore with it <3
